What is the Restore Your Core® Program?
For over 25 years, Lauren Ohayon has helped women navigate core and pelvic floor issues like leaking, prolapse, diastasis recti, pelvic pain, and low back discomfort. Again and again, she has seen how often the standard advice misses something essential: the way the body manages pressure through breath, movement, and daily life.
The Restore Your Core® 12-Week Program is the whole-body movement program she built from that understanding. It works with your entire core system – your diaphragm, your abdominal wall, your spine, and your pelvic floor – to rebuild the coordination that allows your body to manage load without symptoms. The result is a body that supports itself again, in daily life, not just on a mat.
Since 2015, the program has supported more than 10,000 healing journeys across 80+ countries and continues to evolve over time. Everyone who joins receives lifetime access, including future updates.

How is Restore Your Core® different from other approaches?
Restore Your Core® works with the body as a system, which is part of why it resonates with so many people who have tried more isolated approaches without finding lasting change. It is also an approach many healthcare and movement professionals respect and use alongside clinical care.
Still dealing with symptoms months or years later?
Core and pelvic floor issues do not always resolve with time alone. Many people find RYC® long after symptoms began and finally start to make sense of what their body has been asking for.
Noticing changes through pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause, or simply over time?
The body changes across seasons of life, and core and pelvic floor function change with it. RYC® works with those shifts in a way that is practical and grounded in real life.
Exercise or everyday tasks no longer feeling good in your body?
Whether you are dealing with leaking, heaviness, tension, instability, back pain, or a core that feels disconnected, these experiences are often related to coordination and pressure, not just strength in one isolated area.
Been told to just live with it?
A lot of people are given advice that normalizes symptoms without helping them understand what is happening. RYC® offers a way to build more clarity, more options, and more trust in how the body can respond over time.

Questions about Restore Your Core®
What's inside the RYC® 12-week program? The program moves through four progressive phases – Reconnect, Restore, Repattern, and Reinforce – each building on the last. You start by developing awareness of how your breath, posture, and pelvic floor coordinate, then gradually work toward strength and movement patterns that hold up in real life. Sessions run around 25 minutes, with four per week recommended. No special equipment needed – everything is done at home.
There are three tracks to choose from depending on how much structure and support you want: Essentials (self-paced), Guided (structured with daily delivery and progress tracking), and Guided+ (includes two 1:1 coaching sessions). More on each below.
Which track is right for me – Essentials, Guided, or Guided+?RYC® Guided is the most popular choice and a great starting point for most people. It gives you a clear daily structure, built-in progress tracking, and the flexibility to scale movements up or down based on how your body feels – which makes a real difference when you're navigating symptoms like prolapse, diastasis recti, or pelvic floor dysfunction. Guided members are twice as likely to complete the full 12 weeks.
RYC® Guided+ adds two 1:1 coaching sessions with a certified RYC® Professional – worth considering if you want personalized feedback on your form, or if you're managing more complex symptoms and want extra reassurance you're progressing safely.
RYC® Essentials is fully self-paced and suits people who prefer to work independently and create their own path through the program.
All three tracks include lifetime access, along with any future updates. The program has also continued to evolve over time and is now in its third fully revised version, shaped by years of teaching and refinement.
How much time does the program take each week?
Sessions run around 25 minutes, with four per week recommended – roughly 1.5 to 2 hours in total. Express classes of 10–15 minutes are available for busier days. Consistency matters more than intensity here, and even shorter sessions contribute to the retraining process over time.
What kind of results can I expect, and how soon?
Many people notice something shifting within the first two to three weeks – less back pain, more stability, reduced heaviness, or simply moving with more confidence. Over the full 12 weeks, participants commonly experience improvements across a range of symptoms: reduced or resolved leaking, better prolapse management, improved core strength and diastasis, and the ability to return to activities they'd given up on.
That said, every body moves at its own pace. What the program builds is coordination and strength that continues developing beyond the 12 weeks – the goal is lasting change in how your body manages pressure and movement, not just temporary relief.
I'm dealing with significant symptoms. Is this program safe for me?
The RYC® 12-Week Program was designed specifically for people navigating core and pelvic floor issues – including prolapse, significant diastasis, chronic pain, and severe leaking. Every exercise includes modifications, and the Guided track includes chair-supported options, standing-only classes, and regressed movements for bodies that need extra accommodation. As with any new exercise program, consulting with your healthcare provider before starting is always a good idea, particularly if you have significant or complex symptoms.
Do I need any special equipment?
No. The entire program can be done with a yoga mat – or even just a towel and a carpeted floor. A yoga block is useful for some exercises, but a thick book or firm pillow works just as well. Everything is designed to work with what you already have at home.
I've tried other programs and nothing has worked. Why would RYC® be different?
Many people come to Restore Your Core® after trying multiple other approaches without lasting results. The difference is usually this: RYC® works with the whole-body patterns and underlying causes that contribute to symptoms, rather than targeting the symptoms themselves in isolation. When the root – how your body manages pressure during breathing and movement – is what's being addressed, the changes tend to hold in a way that spot-treatment approaches often don't.
How does RYC® compare to pelvic floor physical therapy?
The two work well together and serve different but complementary purposes. Pelvic floor PT offers personalized, hands-on assessment and treatment specific to your body. RYC® gives you the daily movement practice and education to retrain patterns at home – and many pelvic floor physical therapists recommend the program to their patients for exactly that reason. Some people use RYC® alongside PT, others use it after PT ends to continue building strength long-term.
I've been doing Kegels for years without improvement. How is this different?
Kegels target the pelvic floor in isolation – but if your pelvic floor is already holding tension, or if your breathing and movement patterns are loading it incorrectly throughout the day, isolated contractions are unlikely to shift much. RYC® teaches you how your diaphragm, posture, and whole-body movement influence your pelvic floor during real activities – lifting, walking, exercising, getting out of bed. When that coordination improves, symptoms that years of Kegels haven't touched often begin to change.
I've had these symptoms for years. Can I still benefit?
Yes. The length of time you've had symptoms doesn't determine how much change is possible. Many people come to Restore Your Core® after a decade or more of managing symptoms and go on to experience meaningful improvements. The body's capacity to relearn coordination and movement patterns doesn't have a cut-off date – and it's never too late to start.
