My A Girl & A Gun StoryA Girl & A Gun began as a simple idea to bring women together at the range. In 2011, Julianna Crowder was a Firearms Instructor near Austin, TX. Her bright and vibrant personality, along with her knowledge of marksmanship, was the perfect catalyst for what would become the nation’s largest women’s shooting league.

My family and I recently took our first training on handguns and shotguns from Julianna and John. Unlike most things in life, all five of us agreed this was the best family event we have had (no easy task). Very thorough, very professional, a great value, and extremely well done. It was evident that they have passion in the topics and a real interest in working with people. I would absolutely recommend them, two thumbs up!

"John and Julianna are the best. The range and the class were run in a very professional way. If you are apprehensive at all about taking this class don't be. I was a renewal and if I had known about them the first go round I would taken my initial CHL with them. Hope to see them on my next renewal. I have numerous friends with CHLs; I will recommend you to them for their next class. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!"

To illustrate what sort of person Julianna is, I'll tell my tale.
I had signed up for a CHL renewal class to be taught at Ft. Hood. But the post had been slow in finalizing the arrangements for use of facilities there, so that class had to be cancelled. Seeing that I was close to renewal time, Julianna taught a special class, in the Cedar Park facility, just for me. She met me at the range in Florence, and then I followed her to Cedar Park. Her presentation was very well delivered, even though I kept interrupting, more than I might have had it been a full class of folks. :)

I have attended 3 CHL classes in the past and I am a Master Rifle Instructor, US Army Distinguished Rifleman, and National Rifle Coach/Competitor. So I know what I am talking about when I say the parts of your presentation I observed were, by far, the most professional I have seen for CHL training--good job!"
